As President of the IMLCA UK I am delighted to be able to present some progress for the UK International Moth Class.
Thanks to our decision to form a new International Moth Lowrider Class Association, which was launched on 1st February 2024, at the time it was possible to consider ways to re-unify the UK Moth Class.
Accordingly, IMCA UK reached out to the Lowrider group with a proposal to affiliate our Association with the IMCA UK while retaining our own class management and financial independence. The proposal was accepted by the Committees of both Associations with the result that the IMLCA UK becomes affiliated to the IMCA UK.
Thanks to some input from Alan Punch, the then World President, and the initiative taken by Graham Simmonds working closely with the the IMLCA UK President, Ian Marshall, in drafting the proposal, this long overdue move to re-unite the UK Moth Class was achieved in a way that will benefit everyone and take the Class forward into what promises to be a bright future.
