As President of the IMLCA UK I am delighted to be able to present some exciting news for the UK International Moth Class. Thanks to our decision to form a new International Moth Lowrider Class Association which was launched on 1st February it has become possible to consider ways to re-unify the UK Moth Class. Accordingly, IMCA UK reached out to the Lowrider group with a proposal to affiliate our Association with the IMCA UK while retaining our own class management and financial independence. I am particularly pleased to announce that the proposal has been accepted by the Committees of both Associations with the result that the IMLCA UK becomes affiliated to the IMCA UK with immediate effect.
Thanks to some input from Alan Punch, the World President, and to the initiative taken by Graham Simmonds working closely with myself in drafting the proposal, this long overdue move to re-unite the UK Moth Class has been achieved in a way that will benefit everyone and take the Class forward into what promises to be a bright future.
